  • 1 can sliced pineapple 20 oz
  • 1 half fully cooked smoked ham
  • 2 cups cola beverage of choice
  • 1 can cooked sweet potatoes
  • 1 sprig parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and place ham in a shallow 9x12 inch baking dish.
  • Arrange sliced pineapple on ham and secure with wooden toothpicks.
  • Pour cola over ham and place in the oven.
  • Bake ham for 15 min per lb, occasionally basting with pan juice.
  • When there is 30 min left of baking time, add sweet potatoes to the pan with juices and return to the oven.
  • Remove to a warm platter and let stand for 20 minutes before carving.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve with sweet potatoes and hot ham drippings!

Notes

  • Although 15 minutes per pound is recommended, cooking times may vary so check the ham regularly to prevent burning!
  • Spiral sliced hams will dry out faster than whole hams so be sure to baste regularly to maintain moisture!
